Design Assistant

We are seeking individuals to join our Landscape Support Staff. This person will ensure quality and accuracy in providing designs, proposals, and project follow-thru. Everett’s is committed to providing Outdoor Solutions to be Proud of through our Core Values of:

Duties & Responsibilities

The right fit for this position will present the following qualities:

  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Excellent oral and writing communication skills with customers, crews and vendors
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD/Dynascape Design/Landscape Design Programs
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (More than basic skills)
  • Ability to direct crews out on the job via oral, text and picture communication
  • Detail oriented with ability to retain information and relay accurately 
  • Ability to multi-task, take notes and stay organized
  • Team Player while having the ability to be self-motivating 
  • Knowledge of trees/shrubs and working knowledge of landscape practices a huge bonus, but a minimum ability to quickly learn.

This is a full-time position with benefits. The primary focus of this position will be working with take-off information from Landscape Designers to create computer designs (base plans and drawings), will assist with “behind the scenes” project management, securing materials, scheduling and communicating necessary information to crews.


This is a team, yet individual work setting. The physical requirements of this position will require sitting at a desk over 50% of your time, working with computer design software, Microsoft Excel and phone/email work. Visits to site will be expected to keep projects on task. Identifying and tagging of plant material at our on-site nursery and Everett’s Gardens will also be required. Work hours will vary based on season. During our Landscape season, start times will be daily 7:00am.
